15. アニメ

ア = A
ニ = NI
メ  = ME

Anime, a shortened form of Animation. Anime is the Japanese version of Cartoons, in-short, Anime is Japanese Cartoons (shut up weaboos). In my highschool days, I've been hooked up with it, I would choose watching anime rather than reviewing my notes, but this time that I'm in college, I stopped watching anime for the sake of passing. Ever since my friends introduced Anime to me, I started liking it. But anime is like cartoons to, so they have genres. These are the different genres of anime.

1. ACTION
   - Anime filled with body movements, intense battles and fabulous battle cries. Whenever you watch action-packed animes, you wont get bored because the audio and sound effects of their battles are extreme. I always adored the background music when they are fighting, because it sounds so cool and mature (hehe). Examples of these kinds of anime is : FairyTail, Naruto, Sword Art Online

2. GORE
   - This kind of anime is filled with BLOOD... Blood, killing, assasinations, accidents, etc. these kind of anime is my favorite type because it makes me feel alive. It's so cool seeing blood everywhere, it's raining blood. But some of these kinds have epic plots too, that's why I love them. Blood + Cool Plot. Examples of these kinds of anime is : Tokyo Ghoul, Corpse Party

3. PSYCHOLOGICAL
   - This kind of anime makes the viewer THINK. It's filled with mysteries that will soon be exposed as you keep on watching the anime. Examples are : Another, Mirai Nikki, Danganronpa

4. COMEDY
   - This kind of anime hones the viewers Logic and Humor. Comedy animes are mostly Rom-Com (Romantic Comedies) because it would be a waste to make a fun-filled anime if there are no love teams. When the anime is Rom-Com, I somehow find them CORNY but still, I watched some Rom-Com's like Nisekoi, Chuunibyou demo Koi gai Shitai, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo

5. DRAMA
   - i dont know what to say about this genre. Well, it's all about the FEELS. Drama anime has the best plot because if the plot is not good, how would it make you shed tears. Example of this FEELSORAMA anime is : Angel Beats, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai

Well, these are the different genres of anime. There are more, but unfortunately, I'm clueless about them because I mostly watch those (the genres I have listed above) genres of anime.

14. Kalyeserye

"Sa Tamang Panahon" (In the right time)

Kalyeserye *Kalye (streets) + Serye (series)*
A series made in the streets

Kalyeserye is an online series that is also a segment in the show Eat Bulaga! wherein the trending love-team called #AlDub (Alden + Yaya Dub) started.

The #AlDub loveteam started off as a joke where as Alden is a host in a segment called "That's my Bae" and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) in the segment called "Juan for All, All for Juan : Bayanihan of d' Pipol". The main host (Tito, Vic, Joey, and Allan K) teased them with each other. And the next thing they knew, they became a famous love team -- well, who wouldnt fall with Alden Richard's irresistible smile?! Then it continued, more characters came in like the Rogelio's (Lola Nidora's Body guards), Frankie Amoy Arinolli, DuhRizz, etc. but #AlDub's love for each oter didnt fade. Even though Lola Nidora forced Yaya Dub to marry Frankie Arinolli for the price of 51,000,500.00 pesos, Yaya Dub still admires Alden.

It is amazing on how a show makes a lot of people feel like teenagers again. They can feel that kilig once again. By just watching them act, you can feel happy, and sometimes, makes you believe in forever. But what makes them really kakilig-kilig is unknown. Is it just because they have the chemistry? or is it that their love story reflects the same love story that most of the viewers felt (forbidden love)? Well, I'm not that of a fan of this series but still, when I watch those online episodes uploaded by the official facebook page of Eat Bulaga!, I can always feel that kilig...

Alden's love to Yaya Dub is tested by Lola Nidora where Lola Nidora tells Alden to do those tasks so he can finally meet Yaya Dub. But still, they havent seen each other in person...And that's what the people want to happen... So I assume that the people want someone like Alden... Someone that would do everything just to make your parent/guardian approve of your relationship. So we can say that Alden is the Ideal Man for all the girls out there. But what about Yaya Dub? is she the Perfect girl for everyone out there? (We'll talk about Yaya Dub, not Maine Mendoza) Yaya Dub is just working for Lola Nidora because she's repaying her debts (utang na loob) to Lola Nidora for keeping her. Besides that, all of us can say that Yaya Dub is Gorgeous. When we saw her wearing that wedding gown, it really brings out her beauty but unfortunately, she fainted at that time... But, Yaya Dub is not perfect but I myself would make her the image of a "Wife".

13. Anti-Smoking Campaign

Well, I am not a smoker, but there are times that I would like to try, but of course I wont. I dont smoke, so I'm not affected with this "Anti-Smoking" campaign... But what about those who smoke? I have friends that smoke, and I myself tells them to stop smoking...

Why do people smoke in the first place?! I talked to some of my friends and all of them gave the same reason on why they smoke...

            They SMOKE because of STRESS/PROBLEMS.

They told me that SMOKING  is somehow a STRESS RELIEVER... It's as if when they breathe the smoke out, their problems come out with the smoke... Yes, it can be a stress reliever for them, but how about the people around them? How about planet earth? The smoke itslef is very harmful for them (smokers), us (non-smokers), and this planet we are living in.

It would be helpful for them when they smoke because it can relieve their stress, but what about their body? Is it healthy for them to take it? Well, no one could stop them... But we can help them stop, but the decision would still fall in their hands if they would stop smoking or not. So I'm 50/50 in this "Anti-Smoking Campaign". 50% YES because I would of course, want them to stop smoking, 50% NO because it would be useless if we make a campaign like this because of course, they would still find a way to smoke because sometimes, smoking became a part of their life, its like a part of their cycle.

What I'm thinking about is that we should hold seminars, and like, you can sign-up for a program that will help the smoker to control his smoking, it's like a one on one session (that would probably last for a month) to control the smokers smoking, it's a long and slow process, but it can help... The smoker itself should sign up becuase it would be their CHOICE to stop smoking. Its somehow like a rehab, but the Guidance Councilors of the school would operate. The officials of the schools should help them (not that I'm treating "SMOKING" as a disease), it's just to show them that these adults are willing to give their hands to help them change.

12. ALL TIME LOW

Continuation of "We Built this City on Rock n' Roll"

After The Maine's performance, All Time Low -- what we've all been waiting for -- finally took the stage. Silence filled the arena while the lights are closed, and the strum of a guitar triggered the screams of the audience and suddenly, the lights opened blinding us, and when the lights lowered, we can clearly see them on stage. They performed and every song, they do spiels, like asking us how do we feel, and they always makes a smooth intro to the next song, it's like the pace they are using is very suave. They kept on singing, singing, singing, until someone threw a bra towards the stage (throwing bra's in an All Time Low concert is somehow a tradition) and Jack Barakat (the bands Lead Guitarist) took the bra and placed it on his microphone stand. They are so perverted -- especially Jack -- but they gave us a warning that we should not do the things that they do because they are bad people (with a sarcastic tone). They threw picks and water bottles on the crowd ( VIP Area ) and MAN, THEY REALLY KNOW HOW TO MANAGE A CROWD REAL WELL... And after I guess 15 songs, they told us that that's their last song for the night (Something's Gotta Give), and of course ALL OF US DISAGREED because at that time probably, NO ONE WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE. ALL OF US WOULD STAY THERE FOREVER, LISTENING AND SINGING TO THEIR SONGS. But after 1 minute, they went back to stage and all of us are screaming, and every song, we are waiting for their song "Dear Maria, Count me In" (their most popular song) because you can't call that an "All Time Low" concert if they didnt performed that song. When I heard the first 4 beats of the next song that they would perform, I thought to myself, "Is this their song?" and my instincts we're right because its "American Idiot" by Greenday!! So I laughed and just sang to it. We're still waiting for "Dear Maria, Count me In". And when that moment arrived, (All Time Low playing Dear Maria Count Me In LIVE) I'M overflowing with happiness because first, I can finally go home (it's almost 12:00 and I have 7:30 classes tomorrow), and they will finally sing it. After the concert, we immediately went home and they drop me of near my house, and I walked home (2-minute walk). When I got home, I probably slept at 1:30 AM because my blood still rushes through my body.

11. "The Maine"

I have nothing much to talk about "The Maine" because of 2 reasons... First, I have never heard of them, I dont know them... Second, I dont know their songs... So, I'll just mainly talk about my impressions on their songs and their performance.

The Maine is the first band that performed prior to All Time Low. When they started singing, you can really feel their emotions through the articulation of their voices. But I just literally stood there, listening and watching them perform -- because I dont know them AND their songs -- but I was impressed when they are performing because even though they did'nt do a lot of spiels, they still managed to make the crowd scream. And I guess that the one that spoke earlier, the one who said that the program wont proceed until all of us are all seated is from the Maine. During that moment wherein the people immediately rushed to their seats I thought that "What if HE was the president?", he could manipulate crowds... If you are famous, you can manipulate a lot of people... Manipulating people means you are powerful ; the more you manipulate people, the powerful you are. I HAVE NO IDEA THAT A BAND CALLED "The Maine" EXISTED... They are famous... Why is that? As they continued their singing, I continued to admire their music and I'm starting to move my body, following their rythm, predicting the next beat... It's like their music captured my body. Their songs? I find them interesting but there are some notes that makes the rythm awkward... The members? Let's start with the Vocalist, all Rockbands have Hot/Goodlooking vocalists, their Vocalist, John O'Callaghan, is somehow similar to Panic! At the Disco's vocalist, Brandon Urie. Their Bassist, the hyper Garrett Nickelsen is the most eye catching of them all. Why? Because during their performance, he keeps on jumping aroung the stage (hahaha). I forgot about the rythm guitarist and the other one because I focused too much about those 3... Oh, I forgot, the last one, The Shining Drummer, Pat Kirch... He is so epic, he is so good and the way his hair whips throught the air while he is playing the drums is SOOOOO COOL :)

When the concert ended, my playlist was filled with their songs because I got fed up with All Time Low songs so for a change, I played non-stop The Maine songs :)

10. We Built this City on Rock 'n Roll

Heavy Beat and Simple Melodies, those are the characteristics of Rock and Roll music... Whenever I hear the beat of the drums and the strums of the guitars supported by the bass, I would instantly call that "Rock Music".

A lot of rock bands came across my lives like "Greenday", "My Chemical Romance", "Paramore"
"Mayday Parade", "Fall Out Boys", etc... But there are some solo rock artists too like the rock turned pop "Avril Lavigne"... But last week, I attended the concert of "The Maine" and "All Time Low"... I dont know a lot about "The Maine" and I'm not an avid fan of "All Time Low" either... But I've been much more exposed to "All Time Low" compared to "The Maine" (That I really dont have an idea). My ticket was my friends "birthday gift" to me so I was very happy when she told me the plan...

Weeks came and I prepared... My playlist played endless "All Time Low" songs (Because I am planning to memorize them but unfortunately, I have a lot of stuff to do that's why I only managed to memorize a few) but still, I AM EXCITED.

I went to my friends place and ate a lot before we left (because the concert will start at 8:30PM and will end at probably 11:00PM)... When we arrived at the MOA Arena, there are A LOT OF PEOPLE WEARING BLACK... It's as if they are going to a burial or something, but what do I expect? it is a Rock Concert, and of course, a lot of "EMO" people would come... (Good thing my outfit that night only has minimal black in it -- compared to the others that came)

We went inside the MOA Arena and me and my friend went straight to Starbucks to buy 2 cups of Coffee Jelly (our all time favorite) and went to our seats (reserved seating). When we got there, a lot of people are already inside, most of them are standing and waiting for the concert to start until someone besides us screamed and is looking at the seats right above us, we also looked at the same direction and we saw ALL TIME LOW... They we're just sitting there, watching us... I WAS SO STARSTRUCKED THAT I FORGOT TO TAKE THEIR PICTURE... At that time, I was very ecstatic, all my blood are rushing all throughout my body. The people downstairs -- in the VIP Area -- are screaming "All Time Low - All Time Low" so all of us followed their lead until everyone is screaming. But a voice -- I dont know from who -- said that "The Program wont proceed until everyone is seated" (British Accent) so everyone started to rush to their seats. When the whole arena is calmed down, the lights closed, and everyone screamed and the next thing I new is the spotlight is focused at the Vocalist of the band "The Maine"...

                                         To be continued ...

9. BAYANI

Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, The Incredibles and Spiderman... These are our so called "Heroes" while we are still crawling and young. Well, what does a hero mean? A hero is someone that is idolized by a lot of people because of their overwhelming courage. People look up to these heroes because they can do a lot of extraordinary things that we, normal people cant. Being a "Bayani" (Hero in tagalog) is what we all talked about in the Forum (Bayani Ba 'To? Heroism for Millenials).

The forum started with Ms. Elizabeth Reyes' speech about "Heroism”. Next is the award winning film director (also the director of Heneral Luna), Jerrold Tarog that gave a speech about his goals on why he pushed through in directing the film Heneral Luna, his struggles, and on "why" we should Heneral Luna, and the present generations stature when it comes to “HISTORICAL FILMS” (which is very eye-opening for me). Next is the MOUTHWATERING 12-minute movie preview followed by the full online trailer. THE 12-minute preview makes me want to watch the movie even more, the quality of the movie and its story line is very interesting and impressive. Watching the trailer makes me want to continue it in the cinemas (rest assured that I would definitely watch it because it is so good and they told us that if the film becomes a big hit, they would continue the planned trilogy starring Paolo Avelino as Manuel Quezon). Next is Sir. Xiao Chua, a historian that told that “HEROES ARE HUMANS TOO” (another eye-opening speech), he told about the adventures, struggles and mistakes that these heroes made. But what made them unique is because they chose our country rather than their personal desires, fought for their country instead of theirselves. Sir. Xiao showed us that these bayani’s that we adore and look up to are just like us! They also have their hobbies and they also commited mistakes with accord to their positions. Next is the “open forum”, questions were asked and those questions are answered by the people who are good at the said film like the historian Sir Xiao, the director Jerrold Tarog, the leader of the dakila group, the head of APC’s history department, and lastly, the actor, Heneral Luna himself, Mr. John Arcilla. Those questions gave us a lot of information on “why does a filipino need to be a bayani?”, and lastly, the rap that the Dakila Group leader sang… It was very meaningful because it is jam packed with the present reality. After the forum, I thought that “I SHOULD BECOME A BAYANI BY SIMPLE MEANS.”. Outside the APC Auditorium, people crowded over the picnic kiosk because they are giving away free picnic (EVERYONE LOVES FOOD).

The Forum made me realize a lot of things. The forum should be done in all schools to open this generations eyes to the real meaning of being a bayani and so that they will learn how to appreciate these Historical Films.

8. College Week (SoCSIT Style)

Every student awaits their own "College Week" and this time, it arrived upon us Computer Science and Information Technology students here in Asia Pacific College. In our block (SS152 / CN151 / DF151), we are only a few, but we always have a good time whenever we are together. We may be the least, but we can be the noisiest. During the SoCSIT (School of Computer Science and Information Technology) week, we joined the activites that are prepared for us (mostly freshmen). The SoCSIT week started with the "Banner Competition". The struggle we made just to make our banner measures our "teamwork", IMAGINE, while we're delivering our speeches for our Public Speaking class, we are coloring out banner... By the way, the banner was drawn during our first class (Math Enrichment Program)!! And it was colored during our second subject (Public Speaking). When we finished the banner. we immediately ran downstairs towards the parking lot, and surprisingly, the banners of the other blocks we're not as good as ours, so, we are filled with excitement because we are expecting to win the said "Banner Competition" but unfortunately, the winners of the competition we're not announced.

Next memorable event during the SoCSIT week is the sportsfest where 2 of my classmates (Marc Anthony Nares and Lean Nasser Carreon) played in the basketball game and they won their first match! Next is the IT Quiz where, I, (Marc Adrian Jimenez), Yesha Ann Alfafara, and Loumar Alexis Rivera competed, and luckily, we won third place and won a 200 pesos worth Krispy Kreme gift certificate. Next is the "30 seconds of Fame or Shame", where we (Me, Sherine Jane Coronel, Katrina Jade Umayao, Janella Macabugao. and Yesha Ann Alfafara) danced and won second place! There is a 300 pesos worth of cash price and it comes with a paper bag filled with 5 Afficionado perfumes that made us sad because the perfumes doesn't smell good. Next is the "Mall of Asia trip to Ice Skating Trip real quick", we arrived there just to roam around the mall, but when my 2 blockmates, namely Yesha Alfafara and Katrina Umayao, saw the Ice Skating rink, they suddenly forced us to ice skate... I myself was excited but I also declined the invite, but they really insisted that we should Ice Skate! (They are even willing to lend us money so we can come) In the end, all of us joined the Ice Skating...

7. Parted WAYS

Nothing lasts forever. Nothing stays the same for the rest of its life. EVERYTHING CHANGES. Well, that's life and WE should accept this fact. Changes would keep on happening in our life and we should get used to these changes. Well, let's admit that IT IS VERY HARD TO ADAPT TO A MAJOR CHANGE...

Graduation, one of the happiest and the most tragic moment that may happen to a student. Happiest? Because that's the reason why we are studying, TO GRADUATE. But graduating at the same time is very tragic because you would leave the school that nurtured you from being a kid to a small adult, and of course, you and your batchmates, friends, bestfriends, acquaintances, and enemies would part ways.

Parting ways... Hmmmm... We are now small adults, and we would enter the area in which we would experience a slice of real life. College, yes, we're still inside the 4 corners of these schools but yes, we can leave it for a while... It's like a small door opened but leaving the are has limits, compared to highschool that we can't leave those 4 corners.

Overcoming these "PROBLEMS"(?) * its up to you if you would consider this as a problem or not * well, parting ways with your enemies and terror teachers may be the best part of it, the sad part is that you wont see your friends everyday like you do in high-school. BUT, CONNECTION IS VERY IMPORTANT. Even though you wont see each other everyday, at least you could still talk with them via chat, or text. REAL FRIENDSHIP is very precious, it's a valuable gem because REAL FRIENDSHIP is very hard to find. So, to keep this precious jewel intact, you should take care of it.

"New School, New Life?", "MOVE FORWARD and forget about the past?" HOW STUPID... Well, why would you forget something important in your life? It's just a stupid excuse because, I guess, you cant handle LDR's (Long Distance Relationships). No matter what happens, dont forget the people you love. They would/should be the ones that would help you get up and guide you. So, don't lose those precious gems that you have.  Even though they are a few, keep them :)

6. PROCRASTINATION

Procrastination (noun)   - The act of delaying or postponing something

Procrastinators... I admit that I am one, but I know that I am an effective procrastinator...But it's something that I should not do because it's bad. I know what I should do first but I would keep saying on my mind "I'd just do it tomorrow" or "I'll just do it next time".

Now that I am in college, I am loaded with a lot of tasks that are very challenging and time consuming so, as a responsible student, I should do my tasks efficiently. So, no more procrastinating and if I were given a task, I should do it RIGHT AWAY. Well, I somehow overcame my procrastinating, How? Huge amounts of SELF CONTROL and DETERMINATION.

SELF CONTROL, becuase you should be able to control yourself and not be lazy. You should control yourself to move and do the important tasks appointed to you right after it is given to you. Well, I can say that even though you are not a procrastinator, you still need self control so you can control everything that you do. If you are an adult, I'm assuming that you already know what's RIGHT and what's WRONG.

DETERMINATION, because you should be determined to do something you should do. You need INSPIRATION so you can do the task much more efficiently. Imagine yourself doing something for someone you love. Would you give a SIMPLE love letter to your special someone? Of course not, you would do everything just to give her the best because she deserves it.

Cramming... Why do people cram? Because they dont know their priorities? Because they cant manage their time well? They dont balance playtime and study time? There are a lot of reasons why people cram. But to solve this, you need "TIME MANAGEMENT". But how do you manage your time? I manage my time by:
First, KNOWING YOUR PRIORITIES - List all of the things you are going to do for the day, and weigh its importance... DO THE MOST IMPORTANT FIRST AND THE LEAST IMPORTANT LAST.

Second, RESIST TEMPTATIONS - As you are doing your work, temptations will come... So, you should do your best to AVOID these temptations.

Third, RELAX - After those heavy work, you will become exhausted. So, give yourself a break, have a kitkat, sleep, go to the spa, or something else that would make you happy and relaxed.

Cramming is an avoidable event. You should just manage your time well and plan things ahead of time. And in doing those tasks you are assigned to, you should always do your best and make the most out of everything. Dont waste time because TIME IS VERY PRECIOUS. TIME IS GOLD.

5. IMMORTALITY

"Immortality may be the loneliest thing ever invented."

Immortality
(noun)

- the ability to live forever

The ability to life forever itself is very frightening... Why? Because you may live forever, but the people around you cant. So, there is a probability that you may live alone, with no one to comfort and guide you. It's very hard to let go of the people you already got attached to. It may damage your mental and emotional strength.

During this consecutive class suspensions, I've watched the movie "Fairy Tail and the Priestess of the Pheonix", and in that movie, they are fighting to get the Phoenix Stone that is said to resurrect the phoenix and give you eternal life. (Fun fact about the Phoenix is that it can rise (live again) from its ashes when it dies.) Personally, I can't imagine what would happen to me if I could live forever. I guess I cant bear to lose someone that I became so attached too. You could also see the drastic change in the world, from the peaceful days to the blood-stained-hands days.

Why do people want to have Eternal Life?
They'll have Power? Because they can live forever. They've been through a lot of things so their knowledge about life is very wide. These people that desires to live eternally doesn't think outside the box. They just focus on the "POWER" thing.

Immortality? As far as I know, there are only 2 immortal entities in this life we are living. God, and his son, Jesus Christ... *no offense to those who have other beliefs* But I believe that everthing that is stated in the bible is TRUE. But it depends on the readers understanding, some may understand a certain phrase differently compared to others that read them...

Would I want Immortality? Well, if you read my intro, it's filled with negativity towards the immortality concept. So, I DONT WANT IMMORTALITY. (Well, all of us would probably immortal when we die(?) I'm not sure. *ironic right?*) But in this world that's filled with hatred towards each other? I wouldnt want that.

Wow, writing this blog was a big journey, I've learned a lot by searching about this topic... Immortality is sensitive because it overlaps different beliefs... Well, this topic is very complex and I dont know why I chose this topic HAHAHA :) But at least, I've managed to finish writing about this.

4. Suspensions that leads to ....

These past few days (and upcoming days), the Philippines will be bombarded with a series of 3 typhoons, so suspensions of classes would become very prominent. Class Suspensions, the dream of every student... Why? Well, we can do a lot of things if classes are suspended. They can play games all day, watch the tv, eat, etc. Suspensions of classes has its Pros and Cons... So, I will try to list everything I've experienced when it comes to the suspensions of classes

PROS
   1. HUGE AMOUNT OF SLEEP
      - When it is cold, you would just want to lie in your bed and not move at all. Class Suspensions means you wont make up early in the morning, so you can have a straight 12 hr sleep *fun right?*. When you are in college, I guess "sleep" rarely comes your way because you would be very busy making assignments and projects. So, SLEEP can be considered a SACRED TREASURE when you are in college, so make the most out of it.

   2. MORE TIME
      - More time to complete all the requirements. Well, TIME is seriously GOLD, and you cant turn back time, so just like SLEEP, make the most out of your time. Review, complete your requirements, polishing your project, etc. But BEWARE, if ever there is a class suspension, KNOW YOUR PRIORITIES because most people tend to do "procrastinating" (the act of delaying or postponing something) and they'll end up saying "I'll just do this tomorrow", so, PUT YOUR PRIORITIES FIRST, AND LIESURE SECOND.

3. STRESS FREE DAY (Time to Relax)
      - Enjoy, you've dodged boring classes and lectures, stressful seatworks and pop quizzes, and disappointing test results. It's your day to relax and take a break from your stressful school life/activities.

4. MORE TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY
      - More time with the people you love, more bonding time to make your bond stronger. *Make the most out of this* You will never know when they will past away. So, make the most out of every moment with your family because even after  A LOT OF MISUNDERSTANDINGS, they are still your family and they wont leave you behind no matter what.

CONS
1. LAZIER STUDENTS
      - They will expect for more class suspensions once they've enjoyed one, and when they're in class, whenever they see rain, they would be expecting for the class to be dismissed.

2. THE STUDENTS WOULD LEARN NOTHING

      - They would just sit aroung their houses and do nothing. They wont learn something educational that can affect their grades. The time for studying and discussing new lesosns would be replaced watching movies that arent included in the curriculum they are taking.

3. THE TUITION FEE WOULD BE WASTED      - Parents pay a lot just for their child to go to a school in which they can learn. But if there are excessive amounts of class suspensions, it's just like a portion of the tuition that they've paid went down the drain and become USELESS.

4. YOUR LIFE IS ON THE LINE

      - What mostly triggers class suspensions? STRONG WINDS or EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF RAIN. Strong winds can take up to 220 kph, that can uproot coconut trees.

The decision on how we can use our Class Suspensions wisely are based on our hands. We should be wise enough to make such decisions. Be responsible on your own doings. Now, How would you spend your Class Suspensions?

3. Commuting in Manila

Are you a newbie when it comes to commuting in Manila? If yes, THIS IS THE PERFECT BLOGPOST THAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT. Hmmm... What are the do's and dont's when you are commuting in Manila? I would tell you some of the do's and dont's of commuting in Manila based on my own experiences.

DO'S

1. PAY THE EXACT FEE
   - You should pay the exact fee becuase some of the drivers wont give you the exact change. For example, the fee is P 7.50, and you pay P10.00, the change that you should recieve is P 2.50, but they would only give you P 2.00...

2. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR VALUABLES
   - Wherever you are, you should keep track of them, because something bad (robery) might happen, especially when you are in a public place.a

3. PUT ON DEODORANT
   - It will be very embarassing when you raise your arm to hold on the railings and you have sweaty armpits. And of course, to avoid smelly armpits.

4. ASK
   - It's never wrong to ask. Just ask and nothing wrong would happen to you. But dont be contented on asking just once. Ask 2 or three different people so you can have options.

5. BE ALERT
   - Always be alert. Especially in crowded places, also apply #2 whenever you're in crowded places. Be alert in jeepneys because some sindicates takes advantages of commotions. For example, someone vomitted on you, of course you would panic, and during that time, they would take advantage of that commotion and steal your stuff.

6. DRESS SIMPLY
   - Wear SIMPLE CLOTHES, because those who dress elegantly are the ones who are most likely to be the victim of robberies, etc.

DONT'S

1. DONT TRUST EVERYONE
   - Do not believe everything they say. If you ask someone, ask other people too because there might be a chance that they are tricking you. So, be wise too.

2. DONT JAYWALK
   - Even though jaywalking is very prominent in Manila, DONT DO IT. Its still against the law. Filipino people tend to cross the highways without using the pedstrian lanes or the overpasses, even if there are signages like "Dont cross over here, someone already died here",  they wont mind and still cross it.

3. DONT USE YOUR PHONE IN PUBLIC
   - Do not take out your phone when you're in a public place (especially when your phone is expensive) because there are instances where your phone would be snatched away from you. So, if ever you would bring your phone out, BE CAREFUL.

4. DONT WEAR FANCY JEWELRY
   - Avoid wearing flashy jewelry because these (earings, necklaces, bracelets) are easily snantched away from you.

These are the simple "DO'S AND DONT'S" when you commute in Manila... I know that it is difficult to commute in Manila but there is a perk when you commute in Manila... THERE IS A HUGE ARRAY OF DELICIOUS STREET FOODS THAT IS VERY INEXPENSIVE!! But, be careful, some of them are dirty and unsafe. So, you should buy at your own risk. So, these are the simple things you should do and not do when you travel in Manila.

2. Time Turner

"I mark the hours, every one, Nor have I yet outrun the Sun. My use and value, unto you, Are gauged by what you have to do." - Inscription on Hermione Granger's Time-Turner

The Time turner works like a Time Machine. It takes you back in time... WHAT IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE? WHAT WOULD YOU DO? ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE PAST KNOWING THE FACT THAT IT WOULD CHANGE THE PRESENT? ARE YOU WILLING TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES? A lot of things are bothering me when it comes to time travel because of the scientific facts that they (experts and movies) explain. This is my opinion and reflection on the topic "TIME TRAVELLING".

Catching up to the 50% OFF promo in a certain store? You have thrown something important and can't take it back? You missed the shuttle? You woke up late? Or you've missed that single point to that perfect score? These are just example of the reasons why someone would like to travel back to time. Let's admit it, NOBODY's perfect. We make mistakes, but some people aren't strong enough to commit those simple mistakes. MAKING MISTAKES IS COMPLETELY NORMAL, DOING THE SAME MISTAKE OVER AND OVER AGAIN ISN'T. People learn from their mistakes. You should learn from them. Dont hide from them, FACE THEM FULL HEARTEDLY. Dont give up. "Hangga't may Buhay, may Pag-asa" (While you're still living, DONT GIVE UP). The DEATH OF SOMEONE IMPORTANT TO YOU IS VERY HARD TO OVERCOME, but dont worry because GOD is still there to guide you, God has big plans for us. He is just testing us to see how strong our faith is to him. Just trust God and nothing bad would happen to us. So, be contented (It's very hard, but do your best) with your life and keep holding on.

But if ever given the chance to travel back in time, I would go back to the time where I made the biggest mistake I made in my life, I REFUSED TO GO TO MY GRANDMOTHER THAT DIED RIGHT AFTER THEY VISITED HER JUST BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO. I felt very guilty when we went to her wake. Because I refused to go there, and I know that she becomes happy when we (me and my cousins) are there but I didn't give her that simple chance to be with us, her grandchildren...

What did I learn? Is to make the most out of everything with your family. Be with them if you have time... Because "TIME IS GOLD" and you cant turn back time. :(

What if YOU WERE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO TRAVEL BACK IN TIME? WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Let me know by commenting your "Back in Time TO-DO LIST" :)

1. Highschool (<,=,>) College

"Which is better? HIGHSCHOOL or COLEGE? Or is it just EQUALLY GREAT?"
A lot of changes would happen in our life. Nothing lasts forever. Because everything that comes past our life would eventually fade away (well, I'm not being negative, I'm just telling the truth). I'm the type of person that hates EXPECTATIONS. Why? because its really hard to accept the fact that YOU WORKED VERY HARD just to reach your expectations and END UP FAILING. Thats the reason why I dont believe in forever.

Well, going back to the original topic, "Which is better? Highschool or College?" Let's list the things that I HATED in Highschool

THINGS I HATE IN HIGHSCHOOL

1. HAIRCUT REQUIREMENTS...
   - WHY DO THEY EVEN CARE ABOUT OUR HAIR!? They would give you demerits because you dont have the RIGHT HAIRCUT (2x3)!? WHY?!?

2. BIAS SC (STUDENT COUNCIL) OFFICERS

   - SC Officers that are very strict on regular students but give A LOT OF EXCEPTIONS on their personal friends. The SC officers are in charge of listing the LATE and those who are disobeying the rules. They are scattered on the different staircases to check the haircut and the uniform of the students, and some are guarding the gates to get the names of those who are late. After morning praise, we would go up to our rooms and the SC officers would check our haircut and uniforms... THEY DONT LIST THE NAMES OF THEIR FRIENDS THAT ARE ALWAYS DISOBEYING THE RULES. But for those who are'nt their friends, they would list them without thinking twice. They are VERY BIAS. And it irritates me.

3. LACK OF TABLES IN THE CANTEENS   - Me and my friends bring our own lunch to school and we just eat in the canteen. But sometimes, when we go down late, the whole canteen is packed and there are NO VACANT SEATS! So, we are forced to sit on the stage and eat there...

There are still stuff that I hated in highschool but I cant list all of them... I should learn how to become mysterious so I should not reveal everything (*wink wink*).

I still can't point out the stuff that I hate in college because I guess I still havent had enough time to experience college. But BEFORE I GRADUATE, I WILL UPDATE THIS BLOG POST AND CONCLUDE, "Which is better, Highschool or College?"
